When you cut the cowel to lean the windshield back-did you add a filler piece to the opening that was created? Just curious.
ambsn- No, that is one show that I cant make it to, have family plans. Will see you at a show soon though, I'll look for your coupe! Buckster- yeah just a filler piece, pretty easy. Thanks!
Gorgeous...bad ass...super inspiring. I am building a very similar '34 5w, have already channeled it 2" & slowly stitching the body back together. Still deciding on how much to chop it... Did I read correctly that yours is chopped more in the rear than the front? Unbelievable car, and I agree that I wouldn't change one damn thing on it... Sam
Very cool! I know what it takes to build one of these cars.....its a alot of work yours turned out beautiful!
Thanks everyone! Thequietwon- Yeah the back is chopped 5 1/2", and the front 4 1/2". When you lay back the "A" pillars to meet the top it automatically drops it down over an inch, if that makes sense. I actually initially chopped the front 5 1/2' also, but added an inch back after I did not like the way the chop looked.
Man, the way those pics lined up, it looked like that build took thirty minutes! Nice car and some really good work.
Great job. I admire your dedication and it must feel rewarding. A type of high you can't buy. So many pay others to take on a job like that and then absorb all the fame. You are a ruler sir! Congrats and enjoy your dream... Now burn some rubber! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Thanks everyone so much! D Rod- I saw your 5 window at the GNRS, unbelievable coupe. My favorite car at the show!
Love It! Since your so local to me. I'd love to get our three windows side by side. Very similar yet so different. I commend you for tackling a chop that complex on your own. I got help on mine. I'm going for a late 40's feel with mine. I plan to have it driving this summer, then blow it apart and finish it by next summer. Drew Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Thanks Drew, I remember your first post on your 34 awhile back, now I see the second post. Looks great! I love those wedge chops also. We will have to get the coupes together and tear up the San Diego streets!
