Loving this build! But, I've got a question/concern... I like the low-mount generator, but it looks like your V-belt may slip with the minimal amount of "wrap" you've got on that crank pulley. If it does, do you know if there's a 2-groove set available for the crank & water pump?
OK, got the firewall painted some of the electrical mounted... waiting on starter that I bought from a hamber said he sent it 3 weeks ago still havent seen it?
Beautiful! Did you do a little paint work on the body,or is that just a reflection I see on the roof and door?
So i was wondering, do you still have the old front and rear suspension bits or did you chuck them out? Because I would love to get my hands on them... if they are cheap enough, cause I am broke...
That is one of the nicest engine bays I have seen. The simplicity that reflects so much thought is sensational!
AWESOME BUILD!!! way to save that 'gl***!!! score 1 more for the hot rod scene haha. cant wait for more pics. got any more of the rear suspension? and X2 for "how the hell are street rods popular?!"
Such a clean and sanitary engine bay. Couple that with a rad motor, perfect stance and great wheel choice and it's clear that you have had my attention. great looking car!!!! I'm running the same caps on my '35 coupe. I feel they are the best looking wide five caps with the exception of maybe Zephyr caps. Are those '32 Chevy headlights?
JUSTPLAIN J, What are you doing for a radiator? Just a little hint look for a 33, 34 radiator for a "B" or "C" motor ( 4 cylinder). They fit cause they were designed for the car, they are plenty cheap, and the inlet and outlets are in the correct position for the Caddy motor. The top is in the middle and the bottom is drivers side.
jrblack30, thanks.. I bought a walker radiator for a 34' it's in some of the first pic's in this thread. I will have the bottom inlet/outlet moved to driver's side. I always use a new radiator on my builds. again thanks for the info it's always good to know.
Looks fantastic,Jim!!!!! I want to see more pic's....One with the hood and grill on! I think it might be time to find another starter source, haha! Otherwise it will never be ready for LARS!!!!
Great work, ditching the late model ****. I like how you ran a generator, but hid it, like some guys do with an alternator. But, I was diggin' on the shiny; are you re-painting it? Was it a ****ty paint job before? I'm a bit confused.
