I am running an 86 S10 T5 transmission behind the flathead. I am using a Cornhuskers Rod & Custom adaptor kit with hydraulic slave cylinder.

Greezy, I love how the flathead turned out too, thanks! I might change a couple of minor things.

    Thank You!

I am most certianlly spending way to much but, definitely having a blast. As for the photos, a picture speaks a thousand words. Photos can convey a lot of info and I hope I can inspire others, thanks!

One of those builds that makes you keep smiling going through updates. Keep 'em coming!

Curious if you considered the cab stretch through the door before deciding on behind it?

The photos of the bed are only hours old and I am so happy with how it’s turned out so far, and the flathead too. As for the stretch, I took a ride in several pickup before I started my build and felt like I was riding with my knees under my chin. I saw a pickup build from thunderbirdesq with a stretch and flew up to meet him and sit in his ride that had been stretched and was sold. I’ll keep posting as the build progresses, stop back and check it out.

It’s clean now but, I plan on spending the first hour just spinning doughnuts in the back yard.

The stretch is 10 inches. I have 4 in the door and 6 in the cab but am considering splitting it 50/50, not sure yet. Thanks for the comments.

Got it Chris. For comparison, how much stretch does Pumpkin Sally's truck have?

    Chris,
It's your Bro in law. I finially got around to registering here, so I could keep abreast of what's going on. I've read all the posts, and viewed all the pics and videos to date with interest. To say I'm impressed is an understatement! It's really coming along nicely. That flattie looks awesome, and I'm looking forward to hearing how it's sounds with a full exhaust. Right now it kinda sounds more like your 8N, LOL! Hope you and Boo have a great Easter!

Zoomies eh? Now that I think about it, I believe you may have told me that the last time we saw you. I guess that means you won't be needing any tunes, as you'll have all the music you need coming out of those eight upswept pipes, lol! Later dude!

I just ordered the axle housing and axles. The measurement ended up being 59 inches mounting surface to mounting surface. I already ordered the finned drum brakes awhile ago. If you guys haven't seen these brakes you really need to check out this link http://www.9inchfactory.com/brakes.shtml. John's Industries offers these repoped Buick finned brakes. I opted for the polished version ($$$ ouch!) but, when I got them all I could say is WOW! Check them out.

By the way, most of the videos are on page 4.

    Enjoy!

The bed has now been positioned into place behind the cab on the ch***is table. Now we can determine the measurements and layout for the rest of the custom ch***is.
