Here are some photos of the engine. You can see the radiator is now installed. If you look closely you can see the fan is to high so, a custom fan mount will have to be made to lower it.

The ch***is is nearly complete. Everything is tack welded and the bed is set into position. In one of the photos you can see cardboard, this is the mock up of the fuel tank. I hope to have it off the ch***is table soon.

Work on the steering is all complete. Steering box is mounted, links installed. Bones finally attached to the ch***is with bung for additional strength. Hope to get the brakes on the spindals soon.

Here is the drive shaft tunnel. First a tube frame was made. Then a cardboard template for the sheet metal and finally the sheet metal. Starting to come together.

And for the "Pièce De Résistance" my shift knob. Its a br*** knob with the Thirty Years Of Progress Coin laid into it. Now it off to the platers. I am having one plated in Nickel to match my 34 PU color scheme.

Three of these were made and 2 may be available?

    Hello Everyone,

On to the cab modifications. If you remember, it's Chopped 5", Channeled 4" and Stretched 10".

Still unsure how much stretch is going in the door and how much in the cab so, I've been playing around with the stretch in Photoshop and I think 6" in the door and 4" in the cab is visually good to maintain proportions.

As you might see the fan is too high so, the plan is to lower it. The alternator is going to be moved up and over in front of the carb.

The cardboard is the floor template and the lines are where beads are going to rolled for rigidity.

Here you can see the undercarriage. Everything is tucked up but, I think the grille might have to be shortened a little.

It's to stabilize the transmission. Some folks have said, flatheads with modern transmissions experience clutch chatter when engaging.

Moving right along on the cab body. As I mentioned before the 34 is getting a 10 inch stretch (6" in the door, 4" in the cab). Here you can see the 4" panel with beadlines tacked into position. The door jam is also in position. If you look at the rear bottom of the cab corner, it has been redone including a new beadline which follows the channeling on the rear of the cab.

Well I'm sure those of you building a 34 know how hard it is to find door hinges if not impossible. These hinges were fabricated using one of the original hinges as a template. When I got the 34 cab, it only had one outer door hinge part and all four inner cab parts. Now I have a complete set of hinges.
