Driver side quarter is real nice. I replaced the passenger quarter with a good one I got with the car.

    Kevin....thanks!!!

    Redz..workin whenever I can. No ...I wasn't invited.

The 1 1/4 was actually realigning holes. There is three holes that hold the frame together. I just made the bottom hole the top one. :) with the windshield laid back not much chop was needed.

Skid...I'll be making the windshield stanchions. Bent some 1/8 steel today.
That's the good axle on my car. The bent axle isn't chrome.

Clark, I just looked at a '37 Truck tonight, how much was taken out of your grille to make it look so right? Bob

37kid....I think it was about 4 inches. Plus an inch or two out of the height. Sorta just went with what looked right. I did it last year and forget what exactly I did.

Clark, is that a '34 Ford roadster w/s frame, or some rare extrusions that you formed?
I am having trouble framing my '27 roadster w/s glass...

Not my 33, I have another body thats a rough 34 5/window body but I don't think I could cut it all the way. Someday I will get a roadster, but it is tempting!!!

  16. Probably my favorite car of all time, with or without a roof.

Great job, looking forward to seeing this completed.

Atwater Mike....just a stock windshield frame. We did a 27 a while back and used a mid 20's Chevy frame and posts. They sorta looked like Ford stuff but needed modified.

No invitational...not sure when it will be done. Would love Cumberland but it's taking a lot longer than I wanted....but I'm putting more into it!

Finished my windshield posts today. Made them from some 1/8 " plate and the top of some junk model A posts. Will post more pics of how I did them later.

Here's part of what I did to make the stanchions...first had to make a jig for the press to bend the 1/8 " plate. Should have made the jig a little stronger.

Here's the bent steel cut and bent ready to weld. I cheated on the lip for the seal....used some T bar.

I got too involved when I started welding and grinding and didn't get any pics.

general...sorry I don't have more details. The plate the posts are welded to can be seen in earlier pics. Once the post was welded on, there was a lot of welding to build up the shape. It took 3 times of welding and grinding to get it all filled in.
