that truck is really cool and I would have to say a big inspiration. I have ditched the standard 46 front clip, but I still love that one

  2. Yeah it's a pretty sick truck, I watched him build it. I even built a model of it.

I have a spare set of studebaker buckets like the ones in my avatar they might be cool.

  7. Behind the lower grilles on each fender (if your local laws allow it). If not, use vette or Rivi vacuum motors to open the grilles for headlight use!

  8. had myself a chance to get a '46 gmc truck and passed it up-still regret the day

The reason I ask is because I own this bad boy now. Going to take a lot of time and money to finish it. I think it needs to be show quality and not a rat rod. I found this car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200634235233 and sent a message to Nathan Hale. I hope he responds. I think this truck would look killer in black. I have a professional doing the work. He does amazing work on motors. I am sure he can do all but the paint. Nathan is local and J Frannea is local. I think both do great work. It is probably a year away from paint. Need to work my tail off to pay for all this but I expect it to be jaw dropping cool. Very creative thinking got it this far. Hopefully we can finish it. My builder told me originally he did not work on baggers but when he saw the pics he liked it. He has built race cares mostly. I expect it to be scary fast. Need interior and paint to be as good as Paul's motors. Look J Frannea up on facebook. He does low riders mostly and his work is as good as I have seen. I want it to be black and blood red. Total gangster. I bought it from Jeff in Enid, OK and he purchased the headlight buckets and an impala dash. Perfect fit for the truck. I think it will have red flames on the hood and red interior. Would love to build a white twin to go with it. Open to ideas. I think Nathan can help with the air bags and bunch more. Maybe he posts on here.

Here is the truck with head light buckets. Looks even better. I like big head lights. I think most guys do.

Got a donor truck. Has a clear title from Minn. All I need is the running boards and back fenders. Looks like a fairly solid truck. Somebody wants to buy the rest then let me know after I am done with it. Pics attached. Grille is bent but you can buy a new one from Chevs of the Forties. Still a lot of work left. I am not near ready to sell anything yet. Just saying I will not need much of this truck.

I had to sell the truck. Could not afford to finish it. Wish I did. I got running boards added.
