So here are some pics of my Lincoln.

This is what it looked like when I got it. It was in decent good shape and ran like a champ. lincoln.jpg
I've been working on it little by little. Mostly just trying to keep it from rusting to pieces and on the road. lincoln2.jpg

As much as I hated to, I got rid of the white walls. They were biased balloon tires that felt like I was driving on jelly doughnuts wrapped in gummy bears. Pretty scary at 90 mph. The tires on it now are actually radial truck tires. I've been looking around the web tire paint or port a walls to get the look back. lincoln3.jpg

I have no plans to change out the engine or do anything truly radical. I'm considering lowering it a couple of inches. A decent coat of paint in either matte gray or matte black. The interior needs completely redone. My plan for that includes a lot of plaid and vinyl cause it's easy to work with.

I like to stick pretty close to original. Not necessarily a restoration, I don't have the money or patience for that. But I like the idea of using as many original parts as possible with an upgrade here and there. If money were no object, that might be a different story.

If anyone knows where I could get a set of points, the info would be appreciated. Or a distributor from a 50-52 337 flathead, cause you can still get points for those all over the place. I've tried google. Not one person on the whole web seems to have one listed for sale. That seems strange to me. 6 billion people on planet earth, not one looking to sell a dizzy from a 337 flathead? Really?

Anyhoo, I joined this board cause after cruising the net for a while, y'all seemed to have a fountain of info and were willing to share.

Thanks guys. I'll be posting more pics as I get things done on it. It's slow going.

  5. Check with Chris at Shoebox Central. I think he had a Lincoln in the shop a short time back and maybe knows about those parts ??
