Great merc, but I am with the fellas, it looks darn good with trim and w/o visor, but it's yours to stylize as you see fit!
Thanks fellas, I removed the side trim but I am keeping the beltine trim on it.I just always felt the side trim competes with the signature body line of these Mercs. when painted it will look smooth heavy and low that's the game plan.I have had a vision on this car from day one of a clean mild kustom .In the mean time it is driven everyday!
Ok here is the latest update,I removed all the interior which is currently being redone in a black vinyl with white rolls and pleats. Then I drove it over to Moore's Hotrod's in Dallas Ga.Where shop owner and Descendants CC club brother Toommy Moore will be doing all the metal/body Fab work. Im going for a clean late 50's early 60's mild custom lead sled look. consisting of shaved side trim, nose and deck ,louvered hood etc.more pics to come.
I've never cared for visors, except on Stockers. It's coming along really nice....I'll keep watchin ya!
wow what an amazing ride. I love the 4doors. I am going to use yours a reference on the 51 I'm building. Love the added touches with the lakes and skirts.

the interior is at the shop as we speak, the seats will be black vinyl with the seating areas paneled in white rolls and pleats.the door panels will match.I installed a black loop and pile carpet kit from Newstalgia. The dash and garnish moldings will be gloss black, with white pinstriping on the dash to match the Mooneyes white steering wheel I installed at the begining of this thread.keepin it clean and classy with alate 50's early 60's mild kustom vibe.
thanks for the kind words guys, here is the latest work on the passenger quarter and door lower/ rocker area the gray product you see is called Slicksand which is a high build spray body filler this stuff makes for some great results!
Ok, here's the newest pics. nosed and decked and center supports for the visor installed .I love the lines on it and it Tommy Moore is a taleneted fabricator!
jus got the interior back and it looks great thanks to Cheryl Lyons! here are some pics G]http://i625.photobucket.com/albums/tt336/sonnysrods/mercfrontdoorpanel.jpg[/IMG]
looking great, I hope my 50 monarch looks half as good as yours does when it gets to this stage. There's just something about these sleds that just drives me wild.
Looking Good Keep up the Good work The only Problem with the Sunvisor is at a Stop Light it kind of Hard to see when it changes you have to use a Prizem to see it Just my 3 cents
