Finally went over the whole car with some paint compound and gave the chrome a good polish. All in vain as weather was terrible yesterday so I didn't take the car to the show! Try again tomorrow Thinking of getting some different hubcaps, any ideas? Ian
Nice work! I think it looks great as it is. There are several other hub caps or wheel covers that would also look good.

Car looks great Ian a darker contrasting colour on the wheels would make those dog dish caps show up a little better. Personally I like the dog dish/beauty ring look.
Mm, yes I was thinking of having the wheels repainted, considered a deep red or just body colour. Dash is a darkish brown colour maybe that would work Ian
And here when I thought we had you talked into leaving them as is, lol! Looking great, Ian. BTW, I haven't forgotten about your rt66 decals...I have one. Our planned trip to Phoenix got altered into a frenzied trip there thru a snowstorm for a funeral instead, and our way back didin't bring us by the normal rt66 souvenier places. I live off rt66 in Amarillo just two blocks, but haven't been able to find but one so far. As soon as I gather a few more, I'll mail them off.
