I was just kidding, I don't do that stuff. Besides, if I did the wife would go Samurai on my ***. Its much safer to read the HAMB, or poke a tiger shark with a dinner fork. Looking forward to your progress.

Hey, I found something very special for you today at the Adams County swapmeet.... Here is a picture of your dash out of a 1953 Mercury and a picture of yours: What is missing?
Ok, not my best work, still convalescing. Really tough to get the color right for some reason. Anyhow, added the skirts and i like the two tone paint. Sorry it took so dang long. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Skoh73 - That looks good, I like the two-tone too. Once he gets a set of WW tires, it will set it off even more.
Nice work and some great progress, congrats. But after leafing through about 4 pages I can't understand what that big thing on the trunk is for? Unless I'm missing something is all that hump there just to hide a small gas filler?
OK OK. The " thing on the trunk is getting cut off so lets drop that. Just got back from gunnison. Trip went well. At least till i tried to leave. Pulled into mcdonalds with my daughter to get some breakfast before hitting the road. Checked all the fluids and kicked the tires a bit. Got in to start it up, and found the starter wasn't turningg. As a matter of a fact, the solenoid was clickin but nothin happenin. SO upon further investigation, I found that my starter actually MELTED itself together. So comforting. Just me and my 7 year old daughter in the car. So, I tried to push start it. And as it would be, colorado is full of hills. Just not in the direction I needed. Everytime I would get it movin, I couldn't go fast enough. I was pushing it back and forth in the parking lot with my daughter steering everytime I had to back it up the lot again. ( she loves that part of the story. She is the ONLY one to ever get behind the wheel! ) Finally some bikers gave me a hand and we were off. 3 hours behind schedule. On the way home i only pulled off once for gas and NEVER even shut it off. That wasn't all. My rear main started to leak real fast. Like 6 quarts the whole trip fast. So i knew I had to add oil. I didn't even turn it off for that. Just added a quart and kept movin! I also lost my temp sending unit for the electric fan at some point and overheated on the way into the show. So i had to rig it up for the return trip cuz of the p***es. All in all a great trip! I rec it to anyone wanting a cool getaway.
No problem at all. Here's a quick one to help you decide what you are looking for. I can do some others if you have some other ideas. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
hell yes! I love that idea! With the scallop on the front wheel, what about lengthening the top line and shortening the lower? Just to get an idea?
What is the difference? The plate next to the glovebox? I was planning on doing mine a real dark green metal flake with darker green extry heavy flake scallops.
