No sweat brother. I waited 38 years to drive mine and don't want you to suffer that long. I really enjoy seeing your progress and hope the car, the job, and whatever else goes well for you. Keep up the good fight, it will be worth it! Thanks for the work you have done posting what you've done so far. You are getting close to the reward and we are pulling for you.

What are your plans on the brakes?

    Junior

Thanks for the support guys. Got my refund check couple weeks ago. Want to get this thing running it's been long enough.

Made the drag link, used the ends off of the coil spring setup. I used the original p***enger side steering arm and just flipped it over. You have to make spacers. I gave the landlord some beer to cut these on the lathe for me. I welded two pitman arms together to get a 3" drop for oil pan clearance. 7018 rod.

The rest is just simple fab work. Brakes are next. Then some prep and paint.

Not as good as your green car!

I still have to wire the whole car, put the ignition in, build the carbs, and plumb fuel.

Should make the digs at Mokan.....finally!

My post........ "Nothing like a crossram dual quad fenderwell headered g***er. And a Sedan delivery to boot."

Looks like that needs to be changed to dual 2 barrels. Just trying to be different or what?

Is that huge alternator pulley going to spin it fast enough to keep your battery charged?

The carbs are $40 swap meet scores. Can't afford anything else. Gotta make em work...on E-85. Let you know how it goes.

The pulley? Thats a damn good question. Wondered that myself-only one way to find out.

Well fellas, she runs. Just fired it up for the first time today, and it sounds pretty good. It's on E85, first time with that stuff gotta mess with the tune some more and figure that out.

BTW the alternator puts out 14 volts at idle:D

    Wheel wells? Maybe someday!

I have a friend that has a SBC tunnel ram type manifold with two Holley 2 barrel carbs on it; looks different, but you don't quite know why at first. The larger generator/alternator pulleys were to decrease the speed of the gen/alt, but also helped with parasitic loss of power. You have sure come a long way with this project. Ah, to be young again. Butch/56sedandelivery.

    UPDATE 10-2-2010

I MADE IT TO THE DRAGS!! Thanks to my dad, and my pals here in CO for the encouragement, and for all the support here on the HAMB. Could not have done it without any of the above. A job helps too.

Never got a timeslip at mokan. Broke both axles on the line, threw an extra pair in and broke those too. didn't make a p***, hopefully next year.

I takes coin to run a fast stick car. I might just **** it up and throw an automatic in this thing. I hate being poor.
