I have been a member for awhile but I don't post often. I figured I better post some pics seems how my bucket is in my avatar pic.

I bought it in Rice, Tx a few years ago. It had the original 223, 3 on the tree and no brakes. I have swapped the engine out to a 302, redone the drum brakes and made it drivable.

Much as I love the high-end hardtops, I've got a real soft spot for the "economy" models...my base-model Buick Special with no power steering, no power brakes, no clock and no radio is evidence of that. Please don't try to upgrade it, keep it pure "lowbrow". Yea!

Btw, I recently installed some power wipers from Newport eng. It took only a couple hours but they work good. A lot better then no wipers anyways. Now I just need to find some 12" wiper blades.

Cool sirc, I am working in Tx right now but I will be home eventually. LOL. I changed my front accessory setup when I was home so I need to get that squared away.

That night when I left Duffy's my belts started slipping. I have the short waterpump streetrod deal that Ford Motorsport used to offer. It used v-belt aluminum pulleys. I have used a similar system in the past with not much luck, especially once they start slipping. It doesn't matter how new the belt or how tight it just slips because the pulley wears out or gets glazed over. Anyways, I built these brackets for my Falcon to use a 94-95 Mustang front setup. It is shorter then normal as well but at least everything is off the shelf vs a custom odd ball deal that is hard to get.

Well I went to put them on and the alternator hit the upper control arm on the p***enger side. So made another bracket to move the alt up and out above the control arm. All I have for pics right now is the original configuration I built (see below). The second generation moved the idler across to the other head for more contact on the water pump pulley. When I get home I will post some better updates.

One day when I have power steering and A/C then I can buy some pre-made brackets or just build some more but nobody makes an off the shelf that you can re-configure as you add things. They are all standard P.S., alt and with or without a/c.

That looks nice! I am going to go with the serp type too on mine, it seems the vbelt setup is harder to get right. As far as your ford i saw i liked it! hell looked old school and thats in a cl*** all by itself.
