I've done a bit of blacksmithing in my life but these take a lot more experience to do than I'll ever have.

That floor tray is so neat that I'd have a hard time covering it up Jeff.

That sounds awesome. Though fords supercharged 312 really was a sleeper. With all of them above 340hp. The chev and most other cars never stood a chance.

I can imagine the bitching yanking that stuff out of the back with a tudor as opposed to a fordor but looking cool overrode practicality I suppose or it was cost, fordors were traditionally more expensive I understand...and that's truly past history.

For some reason all I can picture is a Fuller Brush salesman driving a Rambler.

I guess it’s made from aluminum? I’d have one of those in a heartbeat.

He should take some time to make a dozen or so... they would sell themselves.

I cringe at the thought of the cost to ship one to the west coast.

Looking at the pictures of the part and being a former '57 owner, I think it would be worth the price to get the end result.

Well.. The past few weeks I did the last steps.....
I wanted the factory look in this 70D.... so I began making paper patterns of the 2- 1/4 window and the 1 large trunk area one.... I needed a package tray as well.. I refused to pay $60 for a piece of cardboard.
So after all the paper templates were made,I then moved onto the cardboard patterns.... at this point it was snip, snip, cut ,cut until I was satisfied with fitment... I then traced out the patterns onto my final card.... After that was done I then painted the heavy card...... then, disaster.. the oil base paint was rejected by the heavy final board material.
    Live n Learn
Started all over again and used a dark #9 grey card.
I have a very new deep respect for the interior trim profession.

On the Package tray and the top of the trunk cover board I used a Fairlane 1/4 window rubber trim to give a somewhat factory clean finish.

At the same time I managed to attach all the window stainless... its a touchy job on finished paint.. a real PIA..... but after 2 coffees and several deep breaths.. the final stainless all went smoothly.
I also installed some nice aircraft style seatbelts.... this was my wife's request.... and its truly not a bad Idea in todays modern driving world.

Yea.. so all is ready Jesse the trim man to finish the seat and the pass. door panel.I installed the kick panels about 3 weeks prior.Rob is delivering the finished Bus. tray in the next day or so... I need to fire up the compressor and lay down some semi gloss paint on that....
The wheel tubs should have factory wheel tub covers.. but they are not made and near impossible to find from a wagon... so I will search out something for the future.
I am not going down that restoration rabbit hole......

I was gonna instal some kind of Bluetooth system and researched , but in the end I just used a hanging JBL bluetooth speaker and I can listen to music off my phone.Maybe in the future I will invest in a hidden bluetooth deck.. but now,,,,.. not necessary.

Jeff to "finish" the wheel wells give the rattle can rubberized undercoating a try. I have found that laying a cover coat down then while the first coat has just started to flash back off a distance and shoot, it will give a nice pebbled finish that has good texture. The second coat will be a light coat. You will need to experiment with how far to back off and how long to wait to get the texture looking good.
