I failed to mention.. a very good friend of mine Pat F. of Lubbock Texas helped me out greatly with proper pattern material and info on these type of cars.... he has a supercharged 57 custom as well....
    Great guy.
I really dig the Texas Connection.

Are those small spot lights hanging from the visors?

Yes there's Threads on them...I guess these are factory accessories for the model Jeff is building here...or are they?

...And factory delete I think of a plate but I see a light bracket...is that considered a delete?

No.. they are anti glare lights... popular with JC Whitney and other add on stuff in the 50's.....
a gimmick that never worked.... also known as Sex Lights.....
As the story goes..... if you were with your Hot Date in your car parked on Saturday Night. and the lights were on...... your pals knew you were busy.

Not real popular really anywhere except locally around here.... so many never heard of them

but I ran across them years ago for 5 bucks at a swap meet and ... as goofy as it is.I like the purple glow they give off.

And my wife of 30 years just laughs at me..... a lot.

Part of working for Acme Vacuum is keeping your vehicle tidy after every workday...those who don't conform may face discipline...

It's funny this being a business vehicle makes the showroom tidiness a requirement of sorts...your doing well Jeff...You'll be President of Acme soon...:)

Just funnin', I know you like your vehicles showworthy though...;)

Fab 57 Jeff, that floor tray is beyond cool.
Quite a group of talented guys involved in this car.
I bet it would be a hit at the Moonshine Festival.

Thanks for expanding on that detail...So the delete plate is part of the trim around the inner windshield...I think I can see the visor fixed to it on the driver side...

    Hey @Jeff Norwell
Your 57 Ford project is simply stunning, super great progress indeed.
I always thought the 57 Ford's of your model, were just "KICK ASS COOL"

I have one of the cool, flawless, stainless steel, right side trim pieces on my living room wall, to remind me of just how cool those 57 Ford's were and still are !

The Delete plate was only on Business Sedans... other Model(well.... maybe the Courier sedan wagon)..not sure.
They roughly only made 6500-6800 True Bus. Sedans in 57,.... less in 58 and only a very small amount in 59... then discontinued after that.
Very few True Business Sedans exist today... and 90% came with 6 cylinders. You had to know someone high up in Ford to get a V-8 powered one.... let alone a E-code or F-code one.
they became extremely popular with stock car/drag Racers because of the lightness and cheapness of them.....
Some are still around... but not many.

Love the original interior look and materials. So much class and style in the 50's cars. Can't wait to see my interior done. Have we picked our Chevy vs Ford grudge match location yet?? :D Cars are killer Jeffrey! God bless Canadian hot rods!

Jeff, are your sun visors original to the car? My Custom came with both visors but they weren’t covered, just bare hardboard or something like hardboard.

  27. Jeff, it's your decision but the emblems in gold are a lot to take in. Is it possible to do phony chrome on them? My take is that your car is muted in appearance. Anything to change that might be too much. You are the artist and I'm just an old guy so please take my comment as such. :)

I completely agree, while I was flattered beyond belief.... Not sure I want them on the car... my mission was to go sinister and muted..... they may just sit in a studio cabinet.
