No problem, if you need some detail shots, just holler, the fenders won't be going on permanently for a while. How the heck are you supposed to service parts of the A/C system without removing the fender?

My car has the "'59 dealer installed" Chevrolet Cool Mate A/C in it. It contains most of the parts underdash. Thanks again for taking the time.

Sweet Camino. Is the Ammon Smith decal NOS? Or are they still available?

I'm not sure. I bought 2 from a fellow a while ago. Dave Strickler was one of my favorite Chevy drivers in the early 60's and Ammon R. Smith Chevrolet in York, Pa. was his sponsor with Bill Jenkins being his mechanic. Strickler was married to one of Ammon R. Smith's daughters.

Thanks for the kind words. I take it to the speedometer shop next Tuesday to have a new odometer installed as several of my numerals are stained. Then, it will be done......finally! I'll post pictures of the new interior and restored underdash air conditioner when I get the opportunity to take some.

Loppy, there's already a little line claiming first dibs...:)

    Hemifarris -
Your black ELCO is about perfect, color, stance, wheels. My plans are to do the same but in Gothic Gold. Haven't figured out the interior yet. Did you do black and white Impala design or something else...factory grey?

Thanks for your thoughts. '59 did not offer black interior with any combination. The car when originally restored had a '60 black/white houndstooth interior installed. It was nice but was a little faded so I just had new '60 seat covers and door trim panels installed. The interior is now mint.....P.S..there's interior shots of the old trim earlier in this post.

I bought the finishing touch for my El Camino Thursday evening. It's a restored '59 Chevrolet factory fuel injection with restored distributor. The only thing between me and 100% completion is a 1959 chevrolet air cleaner and hose assembly. I also need front fender fuel injection emblems that go on the front fender front sides. Maybe you can enlarge the side view of the black '59 and see what the front emblems look like I know they're hard to find. I have cash waiting and will pay a $100.00 finder's fee if I buy it.
    Thanks everyone...Mike Farris, Troy,Michigan
