My 67 Econoline Pickup project

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by kgdb, Nov 12, 2009.

  1. Been working on this little econoline pick up the last while, have alot done but alot more to do. I am hoping for a productive winter. I have most of the welding done and have to move on to the mud soon. I want to get most of the mechanical completed first. Check out the vid, fresh 302 running for one its first times in the pickup. 302, AOD and a 9" with 3.5's, should make this lil 2000 lb'er go!

    Those things are sweet!

The wackiest one i'd ever seen had a blower on it with a tunnel ram and 2x4's... all sticking up between the seats lol. Wild....

Looks like a 64 to me, ( nudge, nudge.......wink, wink).

  4. Ya they all lookalike in those years. 62,67 what's the difference. It's cool, kinda rare, got old school writin all over it. The sound in the vid sounds good, but you should here it in real. Such a small motor with big sound and the cherry bombs add extra flavor. Crank up the volume.

  5. i have one also and your gonna want a brake upgrade. years ago i had a 64' van with 302/c4 and as long as you were going foward and didn't try to turn abrupty you were ok. dont skimp on radiator as cooling will become issue if you do. electric fan is nice insurance.

  6. For sure. I am gutting all the oem brake stuff and going disc brake.
