i'm glad you found the jag rear, better get some good body bolts and box that frame, your coupe might end up handling like a slot car if you want it to. try and ignore some of the comments that your car is making people sick. while they're throwing up cuffing their pants and waxing their tattoos, you could be enjoying your coupe that you built without someone elses guidelines or tunnel vision.
Thinking about it, Hot Rods are like women, some are made for speed and some are made for comfort. Guess us older guys are more into comfort.
That's kinda my thoughts. A small, lightweight V8, 200 HP in stock form, T5, 3:31 rear ratio, a pair of Smithy's, roll-back soft top, all made for the open road. Here's what I'm aiming at:
I just got my '28 sport coupe pushed back into MY garage. (It's been full of house stuff while the wife and I remodeled the house). Anyway, the pictures have been good for me, I have seen some answers to questions I've been asking myself. More pics!! My 215 is really a 3.9 Rover, but it's gonna be dressed as a 215 Buick. Tin valve covers, 4bl intake, point dizzy, but the same Rover exhaust manifolds you are using. I got lucky and found a bell housing here at the HAMB. I think I'm gonna use a T5. Any way, THANKS for the descriptions and pictures, hope you don't mind if I use some of your examples. Again, more pictures, LOL. Also, have you picked out a cam/valve train yet?
