Looks good....I like the stance. Wonder if you'd mind telling us how much you Z'd the rear frame and what your wheelbase is? Thanks
Ben...I will help put in a spacer to raise the rear an inch or two! and we can take the inch or two lowering from yours and insert it into the rear of my EK (sounds *****). =] MKK
13 " kick up and 106" wheelbase (ithink? its 3 inches longer than a stock A,are they 103?) The frame is stock A dimensions between the crossmembers, the axle in front of spring adds the 3 inches. front track is also wider than the rear, which i like, gives a subtle forward momentum to the shape, early hillclimb cars (E.R.A.s etc) used this and i have a weakness for 'proper' sports cars.Frame is basically a ripoff of the instructions on theantidote.com yeh yeh yeh gogo a gogo!do the swim! **** that music was ****e. Maiki i might pop over tues and grab floorboards, gotta keep pushin on!
Will be home tuesday between 6-9pm....or after 10:30pm..let me know...! Or ill be in brunsweick playing soccer from 9-10:30pm..could be nearer for you! Let me know. Party this sat! M
man, just for a mental exercise i'd love to see what your ride would look like with a track t nose. dann
That'd make it a track A nose then eh?! Hey punk, where's that DVD?! You ain't the head of a giant DVD pirating cartel, are you? Lookin' good Ben. You could always add some more traditional body striping to show off the contours if they really annoy the **** out of everyone......I think it looks fine otherwise. Don't forget....I'm just 5 mins down the road, so if you need help, just holler.
Hey Man, Nah - just president of the Alzimers and Apathy Support Group. I'll post out the dvd tommorow from work. Man I drove past your house on the weekend and didnt even click. lame. dan
Has the track nose off the race car sitting in a crate right here beside me. I like the style you have in your pick-up Squire of lowness Geoff aka whodaky
Sorry, Out of the loop for a few days. Don't you go puttin' this back on me, man. He has agreed to it...he aint signed nothin yet! There are so many cars getting around with split bones and reg, how can they refuse? Anyway, It's a flawed arguement to say that it doesn't work or it's dangerous, as long as it's done properly (much like anything else, really) Pete
I've had the 'puter at the doctors for a week (virus) so I'm coming in late on this one. Pete I spoke with your engineer, and he's against repop ch***is, but I didn't speek to him about splittin the 'bones. Seems as though you have to ask 'em all, then pick the one that agrees with you. Cheers
Mr Bolt, Looks like my man aint your man He'd be calling a repop frame an ICV I guess, would he? Haven't spoken with him for a long time cause I've been busy getting on with all the things we've already talked about. Probably should catch up with him just to make sure he hasn't had some sort of revelation about split wishbones or something. By the way Stove, I got an email from you some time back with some cool pics. I didn't ignore you... I sent a reply but got it returned to me Why don't you post some of those pics on here? Pete
lol, ease up tiger. what im saying is, if you present with a set of stamped 32 rails, or some boxed filled and smoothed "model a" rails, how will they know? danny
Sorry Dan....context. I'm pretty sure I remember Stovebolt has a home made RHS frame. Sure, you might get away with a reproduction of an original. I'm leaving as many holes and rust pits in mine as possible just to make sure there's no mistaking it for a repro. Oh yeah Wayne, I'm sure the 401 nailhead WAS an option in '28. Pete
Hey champ, no stress im just ribbing ya. thats what i was thinking of, if you made the frame dimensionally correct, i was wondeirng if they would know, or if they would care? the whole system ****s in some ways. dann
The intake was one that was for sale on Ebay, and sold for something like $150US. just threw it into the mix for a laugh. I think full rego is the way to go, so now I'm looking for a 28 dodge ch***is, either a full ch***is or just the right rail, to replace the rusted one I have here. Present thoughts are to cut the present ch***is up, and fit a dodge ch***is to the inner wall of the fabbed ch***is - so the RHs ch***is becomes the boxing for the Dodge ch***is. That way All the inner x-members, mounts etc, remain in place, and I have a legal ch***is. a bit of work - but less than a full ch***is
