Sorry in order to protect the cars and the owner I can't say where these are and if anyone else here knows I ask that out of respect they do not tell everyone.
I dont know how many times I have seen car collections like this one where the owner has no interest in selling. They just let them rust away. After watching one of those "Hoarders" shows, I am beginning to understand what mentality that they posses to do that.
What a shame, some rare ones there. Please try and convince the dude to sell them , at market price or less He proably still has them because gonna fix them or I want a Barrett Jackson price
Rusting in place, those Lincolns are slowly sinking into the earth. What was that Speedster frame to?
Fantastic shots. I have long had a thing for the old Zephyrs. That Scout looks like they were going for the Uncertain-T look in a four wheeler.
Great pix ! Lots of possibilities all over that yard ! Many thanks !! Jonnie King www.legends.thewwbc.net
awesome. glad to hear some still have the courtesy and smarts to ask before treading. good on you. PS if that one packard full spare cover comes up for sale, PM me a $ and we'll talk! that'd make a cool, well, it'd be a cool addon to a project i have been collecting parts for!
Glad to hear you got permission to look around. The Pontiac fastback looks like it may have been a nice restored car when it was parked there. The Ford convertible is the treasure among that stash in my opinion, although there is a lot of good stuff there. Lincoln still used the jailbar rear window in 1950 so the door handles date that car as a '50 model.
Look at that '48 Pontiac I would kill for that car I usually never get sad when I see cars like this but that Pontiac is a huge exception, that would make a sweet custom or bomb.
I know the location well, as we picked it three years ago. Missing from the photos are a 31 Caddy sedan, and 4 other 29 to 31 LaSalle sedans, as well as two Franklins, as 31 sedan and a 33 coupe. I also found 05 Cadillac parts all over the place. We purchased some items, but then the tap was turned off. Trust me, all the good stuff that was there is gone. It was a shame how all those cars were left to rot. I stopped by in late December and more of the stuff was gone. Keep trying! Ed
The early packard is missing the engine, when we opened it to try and buy some of the engine goodies, we found 20 brass lamps. There was also a 31 Auburn on a 32 Ford chassis, and a bunch of other stuff I can't recall. I am sure there were more V-12 Zephers.
Found a few of these for sale on ebay the other day http://www.ebay.com/sch/ezrydr69/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3686
