I started with my 51 shoebox, it had rear system from Gambino, notch and all. Works great. The compressor is a Viair 400c and the tank is about 3'x 8". Not sure exact size. Now that I have added front bags, it takes alot to raise the front system. Would it help to add a second tank? Ive heard the compressor is the best, just wondering it it would hold up to double tanks?
That is an 8-gallon tank, and should be fine. You need a second compressor, and to make sure that your pressure switch shuts off the compressors at the maximum PSI the compressors are capable of, which on the 400c, is 150psi. Most of what we build has two compressors, both capable of 200psi, and an 8-gallon tank.
your tank is about a 5 gallon tank, a 7" x 34" is 5 gallons. the 400c is decent, not the best. it really depends on how much you play with it and how high your wanting to raise it. i run a 5 gallon with 1 480c viair in my kits and have no problems with that set up, again, from layed out to rolling. now if your hitting it all the way to lock the front and being the cool guy at every stop light then yes, you'll hate it.
Thanks. Thats good info. I just want to be able to raise it when I drive off, and maybe have some fun every now and then. I wont be bouncin down the road the whole way there...
