lmao, if that is the case.

Doesn't truckandcarshop, the retail side of counterpart, sell anything?

How far off is it? Maybe you could try Brothers or another more expensive brand and find out what brand yours is.

I would bet money that yours, if made overseas, is made by DII (I believe based out of the Phillipines or possibly Taiwan). That company lacks a lot in the quality department. I got my door from them and had to go through 3 others just to find one that was closer to stock, the others were way off. I know for a fact that a lot of there stuff isn't marked with a sticker or anything.... hell... I would not want to have the name of my company on a crap product like that either.

Lol apache im talkin bout the outside. First off if you hold the visor up to the windshield and look at it from the front of the truck the visor was wayyyyy flatter than the curve of the roof. I then tweaked it and got the profile correct at which point the ends where they meet the a pillars have a completely wrong profile, sit off the pillar almost a half inch and are almost an inch too short on each side. PITA !!! Lol

    HA :p

Man, I needed that laugh. Just got off the phone with the insurance guy (same people I insure my 2 OT cars and house through) and they are shafting me on insurance for the '64 I just bought. They tried to charge me $260 for 6 months versus the $52 for 6 months (better coverage for "classic" car insurance). They said there was rust on the bumper (one inch scratch) and that the paint didn't match (the top is oxidized and half of it was just wax that was left out in the sun and wasn't polished off that the PO did). Can you believe that shit.

Who do you insure yours through?

So are you going to return it or work with it to make it fit?

Who's "they" Apache? I thnk I'm going to go with Hagerty myself...they seem painless, and from what I've heard from current customers, they're easy to deal with.

Not to hijack your thread again Green, but AAA quoted me $189/year agreed value but the hitch was that I had to insure the truck for no less than $28K and I can't drive it more than 5K annually. No matter what I do to this truck at this point (unless it had a gold plated Hemi under the hood) it isn't worth $28K. Hagerty, on the other hand, quoted me $148/year with an agreed value of $15K. AFTER the truck is painted and interior is dead-nuts perfect (if that ever happens) it might be worth $25K to $30K.... but it's going to be some time before that's the case.

BTW Green, for better or for worse, it appears that your thread has become the hub for all conversations relating to our trucks.

As far as insurance goes i have everything through usaa. im payin like 320 a year for full coverage, cant recall the exact number. Im also 21 so my age is still a big factor, but i think its pretty cheap. Theres a lot of dudes up here my age paying over 300 a month for o/t cars like sti's, srt8's, mustangs, camaros etc. its insane......

    Damn, that looks awesome.

Will you shoot that in clear to 'lock in freshness', or does that finish last without special effort?

Fantastic Truck & Job. You are going to make it a very nice truck. I had a '61 Window Wagon back in about 1988. It ran great with that V/6 Eng.

Sorry, for some reason, i couldn't load to send to you. Waiting on administrator to get back to me.

So i redid the d/s door pocket. PITA!!!! Lol im so glad its over with. I showed a pic of the passenger side door pocket to show the rust issues i had. Couple pics of the new stuff welded in, couple pics of the finished gauge panel with the clear dry, and a couple random pics i snapped. Pardon the o/t vw in the pic, but i thought it was a cool pic......

So our bed came of a 62-3 chevy pickup... We get it mounted and the steps don't line up with the lower part of the cab, it's like 1.5" off or so. We notice there are some spacer pieces on the bottom of the cross members, I looked at yours and they are flat! I'm nit sure what the deal is but I'm cutting them off!!!

I bought my crossmembers off that guy steve and they are specifically 56 gmc crossmembers so i know there right. My left bedside was a 67, right was a 56. Both fenders are different years lol. I have parts from over 9 seperate trucks, almost all are different years between 55-9 chevy and gmc and the 67 bedside
