1023141046-01.jpg 1023141046-02.jpg 1023141046-03.jpg Here are some pictures of my finished AV8. Some details. First I used Bishop and Tardels book as a guide. JW Garage A frame with 4 inch kick, 4 inch drop front axle, 276 CI, dual 97's, 39 trans, banjo with fake quick change cover, tri-five chev vent windows, roof off a 58 Ford. No chop because I am am old guy with 6 metal rods holding my spine together. I had to go with an up right sitting position. I went with fenders because my home is off a gravel road.
I have been taking longer and longer reliabilty runs with only little problems to fix/adjust. My question is can I add coilovers to the rear and keep my buggy spring? My mistake was to not use enough leaf springs in the rear to keep from bottoming out on bigger bumps. At some point I will add more leafs but for now I think adding small body coilovers will keep me on the road. Any advice is welcome.

nice looking car, sorry i can not answer your question, but i want to say it looks like the 8ba fit in without changing the front pulley set up. looks like the bottom pulley is still on, and your running two belts, correct? not supposed to be that easy!!

    Well done, Pete. Beautiful car.

  4. ^^^^^^ x2 and I like the fenders.

  5. I had the same problem with my cabrio. I went ahead and crawled under there and got her done. It couldn't be any harder than adding the coil overs. BTW...the car looks great! Tim

I've done it before in a jam, then later fixed it with adding leafs and re-arching the spring. I used motorcycle shocks with springs. They fit in the same spot using the same mounts has my other shocks. Painted them black and no one knew they where there.

Very nice A! I like the shiny paint and obvious detailing under the hood. I don't see a reason the coil overs wouldn't work , if you can fit them in. I 'd like to see some more pix.
