We are leaving on a family vacation tomorrow to Gatlinburg, Tn. I thought id get one more thing done before we leave. Maybe it will keep motivated unitl i get back. Wetsanded the firewall, taped it off and Sprayed it this morning. Making progress
If you're a Dukes of Hazzard fan, Ben Jones (Cooter) owns and operates a museum in Gatlinburg, called Cooter's Place. Firewall looks great, BTW!

thanks man! we will check it out! we are in Birmingham now, gonna make a stop in chattanooga, TN to check out coker tire and honest charlie speed shop
A little update, got the under side of the body painted with raptor liner. I also had some issues with the paint on the firewall, so I just sanded it all back down with 600 and reshot it. Wetsanded and buffed it, looks much better. Taped the dash off and painted it. It came out pretty good, couple dirt nibs I need to sand out. Picked up my paint from the paint store and started putting some color on. Got the underneath of the deck lid and the grille shell done. The body color I ended up going with is an early VW color, L472 beige gray. I plan on getting the rest of the inside sprayed this weekend
Thanks guys, the color looks more beige in photos but it person and out in natural light it’s more of a grey color.
Sprayed the inside and my fuel tank with raptor liner. Reduced 10% and sprayed thru an hvlp with a 2.0 tip. Came out pretty slick. Not much texture.
Got the body set back down on the frame, wood blocks in and bolted down. Doors are closing decent. Working on my template for my wood floorboards. I also got the body wood and tack strip stained. Next update we should have color on the body
