hey everyone well some of ya might know i met some of you at the so call BBQ in long beach a couple of months ago. well saddly my pride in joy is gone. i was drivin to long beach to get my usual hair cut and out of no where the two cars in front of my slam on there brakes and i swerved to miss them and i slid off the free way onto this slope of ice plant, hit the bottem of this ledge and fliped onto a drainage ditch. well i just wanted to let you guys know- take it easy-Mybeatupford *RIP*
Oh man, sorry to hear that...looked nice too Althought it gives you an excuse to buy something cooler!
Son-of-a bitch! Are you OK? I hope you can "Rebuild" or get yourself something you have always wanted. Damned, I'm sorry to hear it....let us know what you entend to do. Glenn
From the first pic, I was going to say just cut the top off and put in a new windshield...but damn hope you are ok. Can you get the frame straightened or have it checked to see if it can be?
the last pic of her, amazing i was perfectly find i just got a sore shoulder from sliding out when it landed up side down since most of yall know i dont got no seat belts. it just happened yesterday and i'm up walkin around and just thinking of what to do next.
WoW! Lucky man to be here telling us, Just shows the importance of a good managable front end and good brakes. Sometimes that even doesn't help. Sad sad day. Parts parts parts, time to start a new one. Glad your ok.
Man that blows! Glad to hear you're ok! Last week, my Mom totaled her '84 Corvette that she's owned since new... it's like losing a member of the family.
That is enough to make a grown man cry. The good side is you're ok. In part, I bet, to the fact you were surrounded by real steel and not some plastic imitation. That is a big reason why I drive a 50 year old truck. Carry on... r
WOW! Glad your o.k. and sorry to see that. Its a hot rodder's worst nightmare. On the lighter side......Just get it runnin' again and DRIVE IT....would be the ultimate RAT ROD. Seriously though, I vote to fix it. Fix it and document it here!
it was still runnin when i came to my sense after i fell out and had to run in and turn the key off. yeah if the frames straight i'm gonna buy it back from the MAN and rebuild it hopefully. or if i find another project, but later in live build another truck just like the one i drove in high school ::sniff sniff:: that shit did make me cry i couldn't believe my baby was gone i just sat at the top of the freeway while some lady was callin 911 and stared at my truck upside down.
Damn, sorry to hear about your accident. These friggin blonde hair Calif. drivers cant drive for sheeot, especially when they got a cell phone glued to thier ears. "Lack-of-attention-no-common-sense-selfish drivers". Im glad to hear your okay and that you might put her back on the road. 'Build Ford tough!!!" i say...Got to love that real American Steel!!!
If you decide to rebuild get the frame checked. It may be a LOT cheaper to find another truck and just swap the driveline. Kind of "mybeatupford II" the sequal I have a friend who rebuilt his '57 Bel Air after a garage fire that actually got so hot we had to replace the top from a donor car and it looks great, so anything is possible, but he could have bought a finished car cheaper. Of course , it wouldn't have been his car, so I do understand the attachment. If I can borrow the scrapbook on the rebuild sometime to scan a few pic you folks would be amazed. Good luck whichever way you go. Remember, any wreck you walk away from is a good one.

Opened this post thinking, "he sold his rided." Man, I was wrong. Thank the Lord Above you're OK. Looks like the only non-crumply place is the driver's compartment. 2nd wreck I've seen like that. 1st was my uncle, totaled his Chevy truck, only place that was undamaged was the driver's side door and roof. Rest was unrecognizable as a truck. Someone is telling you that He's not ready for you yet, you still have stuff to do. Count your blessings and say a prayer.
Tough break with your ride but at least you are alright! Good luck with salvaging some of it at least. Hope all turns out ok. Greg
He threw you back... Means you aren't done yet! Save something from that one to use on the next one and go for it.
