Just finished it a few weeks ago. I know its not traditional but please let me know what you think. I think I like it better than the stainless strips, but won't be putting much in it.

I freakin' LOVE it. Lemme guess, I'm usually good at this game...white oak mains, either Paduack or Bloodwood strips, and a maple bowtie. Am I close?

    Thanks
Your pretty close, White oak, Figured maple and purpleheart.
The chevy sign is sequence matched veneer and I matched it all the way around the center point like an emblem on a newer vehicle. The only bad thing is expansion/contraction. I had it fitting really good and then it developed tiny gaps inbetween. O well nothin i can do now.

Beautiful work, Purple. Looks like a lot of cuttin' routin' and scrapin'. Nice to know the love of wood is alive and well on the HAMB. (Dude, did that sound gay?)
