The Heater went to my Dad for his all original 33 Fordor. He wants to make it sort of a year round car, and it was perfect. Besides, what good is a heater in a roadster and I also dunno if I could have cut a huge hole in that mint firewall!!!
Funny, I wasn't around 40 years ago! Thanks again Randy for the tips and advise. Next time I go to the Round Up, the beers are on me
I love em all...but my favorite car of all time is a 33-34 roadster. Deuce fever is something I have never had, but like I tell everyone- "I love em all, from T's to 1948 I would own any ol Ford in that range".
HA! I knew that would come up! I was working on a gas leak the car had and got it running and wanted to take it for that spin. Gas dries out my hands to the point were the crack open so I always wear gloves when I work with fuel. I know...I'm a pussy
Naw, I don't think I could ever sell this one. I said that about the last 34 roadster too...only I said I would sell it only if I found one more complete. I even got some pretty serious offers on it over the past couple years, but this is the car I have always wanted so I cannot let it go. This one is like my lil 33 pickup...I just do not think I could ever sell it. It gets beyond money, you get attached to em. I have owned a lot of neat ol cars over the last 10 or so years, but a lot of them were just good deals or clean ol Fords that was a "right place at the right time" thing. Then I would find something new and exciting and would sell them off. Now I have worked up to 3 that are very special. I'm not saying that I am not gonna buy anything else, but I think it would take an emergency in my family to cut em loose.
WOW what a killer car!!! Glad you got it. The family support shows what kind of people you are surrounded with, you fortunate! I am looking forward to the end result and the journey along the way. Thanks again for sharing th journey so far. .
Yeah, I thought I got a buy on it, I was perfectly happy paying that, just didn't have it sitting in my bank account Now that I have it here, I thank my lucky stars I did it.
Hey Frank,.... If he ever sells it, I'll meet up with you and we can share gas money,.... We'll take turns "Whooping" him,.... and then we'll hold him for his lovely Lil' Wife to get in a couple shots. And your 100% correct. Built this car, keep it in the family,.. and let it become part of your life's. Then enjoy it on your 50th. Good call !
Great car, even better story, and as for that wood !!!!!!!!! Congratulations, looking forward to seeing it come together. Gordon.
Nice score, I've said it before and I'll say it again.... I swear to god you have a lucky magnetic horseshoe shoved up your you know what, because you have the uncanny ability to score nice vintage ford tin for cheap. Congrats of the new purchase I can't wait to see it finished and on the road.
Happy New Year Chris. That is killer. I wish I was that far along. Can't wait untill we can run em side by side.
Congrats, Chris....to you and your beloved family, fiance and all others that made this happen! This is how it SHOULD happen with all of us...all of those who "get it" and can help those around us and well as receive their help when we need it! WAY cool!!!! E
Sounds good! I'm glad your so happy with the kit in your truck. Man, that is one killer truck BTW. People are right, you have cool stuff!
I was the first to ask if you've driven it yet, and the last to know you just did...you're forgiven...nice job.
I'm really sick! Doc says it is a bad case of of roadster fever. I guess let me know when it is sitting in my garage... hopefully it's not too late!
