Thanks for posting this Groucho. I can't imagine not being able to open a door and walk outside. I was raised well and I credit that with my not ever been in jail. However, I'm smart enough to know it's a thin line that keeps us on the outside.
If you decide to sell come of your buddy's artwork post it here or PM me, I'm interested.

That is a really cool drawing. That would be rad to put it up in the living room and when people ask about it you could tell them your friend in prison sent it to you. I don't know about you but that would be pretty cool.

Cool drawing. I like the 38 chevy in the shop, I might want one if they come up for sale.

  5. GODAMMIT that's funny!!!!!!

Hey thanks S_T (and a few others) for "getting it". I've done a few stints in jail myself as a youth that I'm not proud of. But, I CAN'T erase it. BUT, like S_T and a few others that "get it", this thread's about me sharing a surprise that showd up enexpected in my mailbox yesterday that I thought was very "positive". Sorry I mentioned my friend was in prison, but I thought it was an important part of the tale. I usually do NOT carry my camera out with me. But, today I took it to Mooneyes BBQ for some more pics for my friend, now realizing how important they've been in helping him cope through ten fucking years of misery, of which he's only done two. I couldn't imagine being in his shoes. What he did wasn't as bad as the time he recieved, but certain details really worked against him. That's all I'll say, as it's really no-ones business. Now, for the rest of you......either you appreciate my friend's efforts, or you don't. Make sense?

  6. Oh yeah, about Mooneyes BBQ. Today I met a brilliant artist/pinstriper that goes by Zorac. He had a bunch of awesome flaked/striped helmets to show. I started taking a picture (for my friend) and he asked me not to, as the work was new, and he didn't want it copied. I said no problem, and explained what I wanted the pics for.....half way through my explanation, he said, take the pictures Bro. That's a "good" dude right there. Thanks Zorac.
PS-I just emailed Zorac the picture my friend sent me

    Groucho,
that is a good thing you are doing, keeping in touch with yer buddy while he is in there. A lot of people would just turn away.

That is a cool drawing he did.

We all make mistakes, some of us just get to pay more for them.

    what he said

that`s some nice artwork . dam 8 more years ?
I would make sure he had plenty of art supplies or what ever they let you have in there to keep him drawing to help the time pass, that is really cruel to lock somebody up for ten years unless they really deserved it

and to any one that can work in a jail or a prison you belong there
you just think your better then the inmates
hopefully they will get out and you will still be there every day.
    what a fucking life ?

  10. Jeez, man. This is NOT what this thread's about. This has nothing to do with "supposed" good/innocent prisoners, or "supposed" bad prison guards. Get off it already

Wow that is some really good art work.Maybe people could send your buddy pictures of their cars and he could do a picture with them in it.You could sell them and save the cash for him.

  14. Thanks Groucho, that is "fine talent" you've shared with us, make sure he knows how much it means to all of us, that he's exercising that talent, despite his situation.
