Keep up the work, kid! Nice to see teenagers with some ambition, and are not tied to a damn video game console! Looking forward to seeing some more progress pics as you get there.

That's quite possibly the single most depressing thing I think I've ever read on here....:(

Anyhow, RatRodin, keep up the good work! I wish I got started as young as you.

Hi ratroddin, couldn't send you these pics in an attachment when replying to your message, need a welder of your own?
I bought several little used but outdated units from the south west Carpenter's apprenticeship training fund Phoenix/Tucson when they upgraded their equipment and have an extra.
they look like 3phase units but are made for 220v/440v single phase. I have mine running on a 50 amp 220 breaker. their just made big for commercial use and handling 440 if needed and are copper wound not aluminum wound. they are ac dc+ dc- stick welders

Yea, I'm not sure if I know you, I've only talked to your Dad once. I live over by Roosevelt. I have a 27 T sedan and a black 59 chevy stepside with 55 fenders and grille with a 57 hood and an 04 procharged black GTO. Hit me up sometime if you need anything.

Those 350 Lincoln's are a real good stick welder, you can burn a 1/2 " rod with them for some real HD welding.

Don't take these guys criticism (snide comments)  too serious kid when I was 13 I had a hard time just gluing model cars together, didn't pick up a welder till my late 20's, keep practicing before long you will be a wiz! That El Camino would make a sweet parts chaser!:) Oh yeah forgot to add I grew up in Oswego KS! It's a good place to be from!

Nice work on the car, im in the same boat, im 16 and me and my dad are building a 1936 chevy p/u. A lot of people look suprised when i tell them what we are doing,so im sure you get that a lot too. Good luck with the rest of your build.

Yeah i got a whole bunch of them in my profile, i am currently working on the rear end, im planning on running it without fenders but more of a traditional truck than a RR, progress is slow but getting faster now during the summer.

I think that thoughs years of trucks look really good without fenders. What are you doing in the rear end, rebuilding? What are you using for a motor?
