Haha that's no kidding. But after a week or so it should be good as old! Haha. Thanks. More pics as work gets done
Haha it is in pretty ruff shape but we have a few tricks up our sleeves. No pics this weekend, since the snow started coming down my dads been busy getting my off topic toy ready to slide around in the snow. But more pics next weekend when I leave my dad to get the door done haha.
If you were closer my son and grandson would be after the remains of that Elcomino BIG time!that thing would be gold around here in rust land (Ct.)!You and your family are doing a nice job on that T.
Welp guys. I know I've been a little shy on the pics agian but finaly I have some more! Unfortunatly, nothing of the door, Its still in progress. But speedway came threw again and we got the peddals/***embaly for the 27. Maybe soon we will have a drivable car!!!! Anyways, here are the pics.
More updates!!!! Mainly mock-up stuff but still, looks good huh? we found out that the 27 is a dude haha!!
Wow, wish my boys would have been that involved at your age. Cool build! Thanks for the PM- I'll look you guys up when I'm there.
Hey, just caught your thread...nice job. I know you have a long way to go but just wanted to make sure you're aware of caster angle. Your front axle looks to have zero degrees. It may just be the photo but it sure looks straight-up...should be laid back about 7 degrees. Keep up the progress.
Thanks for the advice man! Ill tell my dad. Sorry there hasnt been any progress. Its been alot of small details to go back and do. But next week is spring break, so more pics then!
Yah, My dad already knew about the caster. We are gunna get to that. Thanks for the input thou. Helps a ton. Anyways, as promised. I bring new pictures, haha. More on the p***anger side door as we get further on it. So. Here we go... Floor progress: Break mock-up: 1955 GMC pick up Unfortunatly the pickup might not be there very much longer. But we need more room and we need money to help get the other cars running and help get closer to finishing the 27. More pics later this week. Peace
No, They are welded to the body and then we have a little system thing that my dad rigged up (I fabbed, minus the welding) That we bolt the floor to the frame so that the floor comes off with the body. The welds on the frame are there for support right now. Good question. Thanks man. Pics of that kool truck you've been tellin me about? haha
HotRod95, I am impressed !!!! I took a look at your build thread and it is inspiring. One question though, what the hell is that rac**** doing to your carb ??? I used to go through Our Kansas City, Kansas all the time. That is is how a buddy of mine told me you say it !!!
Thanks man. Im not sure. Eating it? Haha! Haha, I believe thats how its pronounced. Thanks again. Oh I feel kinda stupid. The thing my dad rigged up. Turns out there called body monts Duh! haha.
Got some kool things to show ya. Alot of progress on that p***enger door. But thous pics will be on later, when we get the door finished haha. But this is some kool things my dad brought home from work this week. Check em out. Old skool chair, kinda Kool stingray bike!! And it rides amazingly!! Thats all for now. More updates later.
Alot has been done since the last update. My dad has almost finished the door and the floor is getting done.
I just discovered this thread and have spent the last hour or so reading about the project. I actually smiled as I read your words and viewed your photos. Good stuff. Not only because the T looks like a great family project, but because of your enthusiasm and obvious potential to develop superb building skills. And say hello to your dad for me. He's doing an all around good thing. I sincerely wish you all the very best good fortune in all you do. Keep at it, kid!! (said with a smile)

Thanks guys! My family is the best! I am very proud to be out working on cars as much as I do. The build is coming down to the final stuff! I can wait to build MY first hotrod (volksrod) this summer, with my dad and mom of corse! Thanks guys. I'll finally get some pics of the p***anger door this weekend.
Ok, as promised, I have some pictures. But if you ask me, they are well worth the wait. I have been lazy for a while and I havnt been out helping my dad on the 27 in quite a while, but my dad is still hard at work on the 27. I will get some pics of an other truck that I got to work on. Anyways, here are the pictures. And he started on the floor. Now that the wheather has been nice, my dad took the olds out for a cruise or two.
We had a pretty kool carshow intown the other day, so I got some pictures: There were 60+ cars there but I only got a few pictures. I will get some more updates on the car as soon as possible. Peace
