This truck's the coolest thing I've built so far... being 20 years old. I think I am off to a good start.

The Truck Cab was purchased from a fellow member Chili Phil ( Truck belonged to Vince, Phil's best friend). Building this truck in his memory. Just because he's not here anymore, doesn't mean he can't go fast with the truck on the road!

    1939 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton.

    Thanks Phil, and Vince!

The Ford 18'' wire wheels were purchased from Dreadman another member.
One of the most talented builders I have met thus far. His shop is the coolest place i've ever been... and he helped me get the wheels I wanted!

    Thanks Chris!

    The Motor was purchased from a neighbor. It's a 1971 351 Cleveland. 2V
I rebuilt the entire motor, and it's as good as it was in 71.

The Transmission was from a local shop down the road, Thanks Tim.
    Rebuilt C-6. 3 speed auto.

A majority of the parts were from swapmeets, or catalog companies.

Fuel Cell was donated from my friend at RCI. Thanks Steve Crane. ( Dirt track racer champion 2007 and hopefully 2008).

I can't wait to get my truck on the road! so stay tuned for more information as the month's go by.

Well you wont come across many chev trucks with a ford in it. Especially a 351 Cleveland if you want some serious go fast goodies for that motor check the Aussie sites, their a big motor over here we kept making them into the 80's and a big after market sprung up around them. A common hot rod motor here.

looks like your off to a good start.

  3. Good work, Matt. There's some more parts for you. Talk soon...

Looking good, btw, since you are in Huntington Beach, check out Jimmy Whites shop, Circle City Hot Rods (Hemi coupe, on the HAMB), he's the real deal. He's a nice guy, also.
