I'm so frikin psyched... I finally got to hit the street with my C-dan!!!!
I had run into some problems which kept me from meeting my goal to have it at the Road Agents Rumble last month, but hey it's out now.
That first drive in a new build is the same frikin rush every time!
I've still got loads to do to before I can go too far, but I got it out to the local cruise last night.
I drives and runs better than I thought it would. I can't wait to get it out on the highway to see how it is. There's a lot of road trips coming up over the next couple of months, so I've got to get my *** back in gear to finish it up.

Just noticed where your from. Tie a 2X4 to the front axle and plow your driveway this winter. Who says you have to put the hot rod away when snow flies:D

LSM, that has got to bee the meanest looking C-dan evr to hit the road!

I hope you don't mind, but I saved the pics of it in a folder of my favorite hot rods from the HAMB. I'm not gonna publish it or anything like that, it's just a folder that I use to show people how cool HAMB cars are!

How did your cowl steering feel on the highway? Any flex felt in the wheel?
Was it hard to steer at slow speeds, or in parking lots?
I ask this, cause I'm gonna be doing the steering on my '30/'31 coupe the same way.

    Again, DIG THAT C-DAN!

Thanks for all of the kind words. It means a lot to me coming from all of you guys on the HAMB cause I respect your opinions (most of the time!).
I still have a couple of weeks work to get it ready for the road trips I have planned, so I need to get back on it if you know what I mean.

To answer a couple of your questions:

I've been posting the progress all the way through the build and have been pretty much describing as I've gone, so I'll put the links up to all the posts in the last one. I figure I'll probably put one last post up when I finish the car.

The gas tank is one of those 15 gallon MAS unit I added the side fill to. I'm using the old center fill for the sending unit. I went with the big tank because we do a lot of long runs and I had the room. I plan on driving this car!

My biggest concern on the build was the cowl steering I built. The car steers and drives better than I ever expected. It's easy to steer at low speeds and handles good. I haven't been on the highway yet, so I don't know how it will be, but judging by the feel, I think it's going to be right on. We'll see how the tire wear is, but it doesn't feel or sound like it's skuffing either.

No Mike, YOU ****! I lick!! lol

    later guys, thanks
