With the timing off and the lack of advance the car will run hot. Fix this first before you spend money on anything else.
A fast way to decarbon the tops of your pistons is to remove the sparkplugs and squirt an ounce of Marvel Mystery oil in each hole. Let it sit for at least 24 hours (the longer the better). Before you replace the plugs, turn the engine over with the key a few times so you can't hydrolock anything. After you reinstall the plugs, put down some white cardboard underneath your exhaust pipe outlet. Start the engine and let it idle till operating temperature is reached, then bring the RPMs up and down- up to, maybe 4000 Rpm. Go look at the cardboard and check out the fingernail-size chunks of carbon you just blew out. Drink a beer. If you DO have carbon, it gets so hot it ignites the air/fuel mixture before the sparkplug gets a chance to.

yea as i typed it i remember that was a starting problem, and yea that girl turned out to be a hoe! thats why i dumped her!
