Thanks Dan.....Look forward to see you in Austin for the Round UP!

  3. Your Comet has a good look to it. If that rear and ubolts are going to survive over the axle, you better put some ladder bars on it. I wouldn't narrow the rear if I were you but I'd narrow the rear wheels a couple of inches to have a more authentic racer look. Right now it looks more like an old show car.

But I still love it. Comets and Falcons rock.

You can't beat the stance of Chrisman's 427 Ford Powered Comet g***er show here at the 1964 NHRA Championship Drags. (Sorry for the ****py quality of the photo, it's from a small photo in a Hot Rod Yearbook).

Cougdan...I've been going over and over in my head what a set of long ladder bars should look like......they have to be over three feet and be particular to the sixties era.... or maybe early seventies........and chrome...for that show car look.. [IMG]

  6. Rad, you gotta use square tubing. Spend an afternoon checking out the G***ermadness site for ideas. By the way, I grew up in Roswell and live in Lubbock now.

Chrisman's car was no g***er. It was the world's first fuel funny car. Before the name funny car was even invented. Changed the car to a '65 the next year, and set the engine back under the cowl. The whole exhibition/match race stocker deal sort of took off from there.....
