Your new toy is so beautiful and so stock looking that it gave me shivers. I remember when it came out and how much I loved it then.
Nice, Martin. Now YOU might lay claim to the "biggest car in the VA HAMB." I think you took that coveted spot away from me!
thanks Mike! the truck is back together (almost). I just drove it down and up the driveway to make space for the Olds, so I haven't tested anything yet. But at least I got the same steering wheel in both of them now Same here, first time I saw these cars, I said to myself: One day you'll own one. That day has come! Thanks Pete! I though Doug's Caddy was the biggest car on the VA HAMB? Well, this baby is only 17 ft long. Thanks again guys for all the positive comments.
Yes, we got quite some snow. Enough for some people to not show up at work. Stones are doing good. Still dry Found out yesterday, that I need to change my kingpin bushings. That's gonna be a pain...
That's NOT a 4door sedan, it IS a 4door Hardtop which is as pretty and fine as a 4door car ever gets! Congratulations and enjoy.
88 Holiday Sedan is what Olds called them back then. "Holiday" meaning hard top. and "Sedan" meaning 4 door. 88 Holiday Coupe is the 2 door hard top.
love that new ride brother.looks killer just the way she is. and i really love that truck of yours. watched your videos.good job and ithe music is good not annoying like i hear on most.
I doubt it is. Never seen them without the two-tone. There is some spots on the inner fender wells that show some red paint, I think. I think they changed in '57. But mine does have the king pins. Which is good, I guess. Easier for me to work on. Ordered a kit. hope we have a reamer at work that I can borrow. Thanks man. That's also my new theme song: Rocket 88
That is a very nice find. I love the 4dr holiday sedan. That will a killer car and has timeless lines. Congrats and good luck with her! Tag idea: 882NV LOL.
Took the wife out in the Olds for our anniversary dinner today: Good times. I think the car needs to be lowered in the back a little though...
