I agree, it's way too nice to cut up for "patch panels!" Awesome save.

Many Thanks to you and your Dad for saving this BEAUTIFUL car from DESTRUCTION. A car like this does not deserve to be CUT UP in any way.

Very nice and to the guy that asked if floors are different they are the same generally. The only difference Ive head about from 33 to 34 is the beads on the 33 are rounded and the 34 are "V"d . Maybe some might know more on that. I have a 34 fordor floor under my 5w body. I remember the corner where the wheel well starts was different but nothing that couldn't be fixed easily as I remember... (body sits in the barn, dont ever look at it much!)

    Very neat car.
I believe it should have a 1 barrel carb though.
    Good luck with it.

Yeah, the Detroit lubricator is long gone, has a 48 on it now. One head is aluminum and says MADE IN CANADA on it, other is cast. The bellhousing has a rebuild tag on it, so the engine has been tampered with before...if it is the orriginal engine. But everything is there, down to the anti-chatter rods on the bellhousing

How many of these things are left? I'm continually amazed when one surfaces. My dream is to find a '32 4dr in the same condition. Not to restore but to mildly hot rod with a warmed flathead, '39 toploader, a set of '35 wires, and hydraulic brakes. It would be my daily driver in the fair weather months.
Good for your dad I can imagine I would have reacted the same way in that situation.

What is your dad going to do with the rest of the car once he steels the mechanical brakes off it? Is he going to part it out?

I found an early Ford in outback OZ which has been in a tractor storage shed forever ( still there) which is in the same condition. The upholstery was eaten by mice and ants, and nothing was left, even the insulation on the wiring was gone but zero rust and everything mechanical was still there . Really interesting to find cars which have a lot of the original parts still there including tools etc.
If the car was canadian, that would sound right. A lot of farmers had summer cars which were parked every winter and over time were pushed to the back of the barn and forgotten.. A lot of them have come here over the years including some really nice Model A's. Better than going to friggen cuba..eh!

Thanks for saving it. You can't cut up a car like that not even to save a coupe.
