Sorry for your loss....We lost our daughter in 1989 to cancer...I started a benefit for kids with cancer through the American Cancer Society....I named it SignaCURE, Signatures For Life, it was a benefit selling sports memorabilia to the public, I contacted professional athletes and they signed helmets, balls, shoes, and etc...I also had an autograph session with various athletes here in Tulsa....We raised 35,000 for the kids in memory of my daughter....Not sure how much made it for research but hopefully it helped someone....Stay strong! God Bless!

    Sorry for your loss.
It is now your job to carry on all the great things that your father gave you, no matter how small or meaningless at the time. While raising money for cancer research is a most noble thing to do, keep your Dad's good name alive in your deeds and daily living.

Living up to my father's standards has been the hardest job I have ever had since he passed away 17 years ago. It is a daily struggle. Don't let him down by doing the wrong thing.

I am so sorry for your loss bro this is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, my dad wass my best friend and biggest fan!! He fought the good fight for 4 yrs and got to see both of his grandchildren born and loved the fact I was building the cars I have. If it wasn't for him I don't think I would be as crazy about cars as I am!!

Thank you and god bless you and your family brother!!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

My brother-in-law died of liver/pancreatic cancer 7 years ago. My nephew, who was in High School at the time, got very inveoled with the American Cancer Society and started a Relay For Life at his highschool. He made them a ton of money. Sometimes getting involved has more value than just the money you can give. He still travels on behalf of the American cancer Society, going to high schools and colleges to help them startup their own relays.

Also, when he was in high school, he would go down to Roswell, (Buffalo's cancer hospital) and play the piano in the foyer for a few hours on weekends to brighten peoples days.

  24. Prayers for you and your family. I lost my Father to Cancer in 1991.

  25. Lost mine 13 years ago. Sadness diminishes, loss never goes away, but understanding that the deepness of the loss is a direct reflection to how much you meant to each other - well, that value just keeps growing into happy memories the rest of your life.

  26. I lost my Dad 13 years ago today, and I still miss him greatly. I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. You and your family will be in our prayers.

Good luck on your cancer donation project. E

I keep having events and experiences, that remind me of him, and what he would say. Sounds like your dad was an important person to each in your family. Best of memories...he'll be with you.
