We're almost ready to fire up the '41. Just need a few odds and ends. It's got a 305(cause it was free!), fenderwell headers, 10 bolt Nova rear axle, etc. It's not pretty(yet) and it's nothing trick but it's simple and fun for my 78 year old Dad. He deserves it. And that's Joe my main helper. He's always that dirty.
Still working on the lugs. Thanks again for all your help! My Dad want's a bench and a Dakota seat should work. So it's off to the junkyard. I didn't realize it but it's looking more and more like a early gasser. It's not my fault I swear!
How cool, love this body style. Good on you for thinkin about yer Pop. Hope he is burnin the hides on that cool rig soon. Thanx for sharing, and enjoy every day with your Dad, its very special. You are on my HERO list. ~sololobo~
Thanks everybody. The smile on his face when we got the engine and floor done has been worth it. It's in his will that it goes to my sons, Ed and Joe when passes. Talk about a cool high school car! But hopefully he won't pass anytime soon!
My dad passed away in February, and he left me his pride and joy....a 41 Plymouth buisness coupe. It just needs a few details now, but I am finishing it up to take to a few shows this spring in memory of him.Sadly his goal was to take it to the Pumpkin Run, but he never made it. Here is a little photo show I put together for him. http://www.photoshow.com/watch/DU4VM5sy
Now you understand why I want to get it done. He's 78 so I want him to enjoy it for as long as possible.
Randy, are you making anymore progress we need pics..................lol............stay with it and he will be tearing the streets up in no time.
Did he hardtop that top? Yep my Dad still works basically full time. He's retired three times, now I think he just does it for the gifts. Update, got the starter installed and found out it don't work. So much for new parts!
Got a new starter. It spins over! Nothing is hooked up we just wanted to make it spin. Made my Dad feel better.
