My Dart is offically over the 11.50 Hump

Due to the great weather conditions and good air at the Day Of The Drags ,plus sum minor tinkering with the car it ran a string of mid 11.50's all day ,and had a great best of 11.48 @ 113.2 with a 7.27 @ at 94 in the 1/8 on this run.The battery moved to the trunk stopped the spining at mid track problem and jetting the carb up a bit gave it another mph.I fucking love this car and it goes straight as an arrow now.Im glad i didnt listen to that guy that told me it wouldnt go 11.50 without sum serious mods.I dont consider relocating a battery and carb jetting serious work.Thanks Hardluck for the great vids you got of it .Heres the 11.48 if anyone cares to look .I took a few other vids of other cars running but they didnt come out very well.I will down load them anyway and post them...

Congrats on the good passes. I saw it run a couple of times, but missed the 11.48 run.

I guess I also missed the "Death to the Shocker" race between you and Rusty.

Thanks ,it was getting the exact same 60 foots yesterday that it always does.It was a 1.63 60' on that 11.48 run ,which is what i got on the 11.71 run at Mokan.It picked up ET from the 60' mark on ,because i got it to stop spining right before i shift IMO.Atleast thats how it felt in the seat of the pants.I am gunna order a roll bar kit for it and put a real cam in the 408 over the winter (something with more than .480 lift anyway).I want to run 10's so bad i cant stand it now...

Never happened as far as I know. I only saw the anglia run a couple of passes, I think something broke.

Yeah ,it died when i hit the gas right after i broke the beam.Restarted it and still went 13 flat i think.I was wondering if anyone saw that one .I usually break the first prestage and then kick it into nuetral and blow it out ,then break the last prestage,but i forgot that time.It loads up with fuel sometimes if it idles in gear too long...

 

I knew you car was faster....than the 54. I looked around and didnt see ya at first then you finally caught me at the end. Sounded and ran great! Congrats on breaking 11.50
