    Looks good gjp1. Keep going.

I had to take my chassis back to paint because I forgot to plug up the Fender pilot holes that were in the new rail. So one side of the rail is being repainted.

The body is also receiving some Filling before the initial Primer.

    Progress continues slowly.
The Body is in Primer, where it will sit for 3 weeks before it has it's first Block back.

    I'm continuing with assembly.
Engine and brake system is in. I'm now waiting on the Leaf Spring Teflon Liners to be delivered before I can install the Front & Rear suspensions.

Your build is coming along similar to mine (probably faster!) Looks very nice, you'll have a cool Hot Rod!

Thanks Ben.... And what a major part that was you played. So glad you were involved.
I hope I get it finished for you to drive before you take off.

A few more bits went on.... and some came off and went back on for the third time, namely the rear spring back. It was not sitting correctly, so I took it out and made sure the leaves were matched to the wear groves, and then re-assembled and fitted it. Now I'm happy with it.

The chassis is back on all fours again, although I've taken the rear wheels off again to give me more room to fit the Exhaust.
The exhaust now needs to be sanded, painted and fitted, then Battery cable, fuel lines, the remote oil filter and it's done.
The body has had the first Primer rubdown. It will have another layer of Primer applied and rub down before the final Primer layer and rubdown for Paint..... Probably 3-4 weeks away.

Yeah Thommo, full stainless Lowsquire built.
You can see a bit of it in the bottom left corner of the last pic. So I need to sand it to get the paint to bite into it.

Nah... I don't want the exhaust highlighted at the rear. I want it to just blend in and be hidden. The Sinister Black look is what I'm after... Similar to 3wLarry's master creation below. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1426567512.266416.jpg

Bodywork moving slower than I would have liked. I gave him a Rev up on the week end, so hopefully only a couple weeks left.

    It's Door Hinge polishing time.
Here is a before & after pic, after the first step... 120 Grit.
Next is the 800 rub and then a final 1500 rub before they are buffed and Cleared, for nothing looks nicer than polished Brass.
