Can’t wait to tear it down and make it really nice! It’s gonna happen soon! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Last night with this old girl. Time for a makeover! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I've really enjoyed reading about and seeing pictures of your roadster over the years. I hope you will continue to post pictures of whatever you do to it.
It's just getting to be roadster time in AZ . I look at a lot of cars on here and yours is my hands down my favorite. It may be that I have owned 29 roadsters since high school . I had 29 RPU but sold it, but still have the roadster. Anxious to see what you have in store for it. Frank class of 59
Thank you Frank! On a different note, I have been given a bit of crap over changing this car. (Social media) But I did have a vision when I started to make it like nimrods car in a show car way. (Nice paint etc.) It will get a few changes but the ultimate goal was/ is to make it really nice. However, I have received some strong suggestions on some social platforms to not change it at all. “Just sell it to me before you screw it up” Not going to happen fellas. I want to see this one through. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
It's your ride and yours to do anything you want to do with it. For all the naysayers let them take their money and build their own car. It's all available at 1-800-HOT-RODS. Or their was a nice black one for sale on here with a Y block in it and a 59 F100 dash insert in it.
DAMN,Koerbacher..Why are you selling? you've got all the money in N Texas already....did you forget your oldest buddy from long ago?
Bobby there is no free rides. And I am not selling anything. I am blocking out my 29 Roadster so I can paint it shiny black. And yes I still have my 40 Sedan Delivery that I took the short doors off and put the longer Tudor doors on . Easier to get in and out of and better side vision. Less of a blind spot while driving . It's still red.
It’s slow going over here. Trying not to tear it down to far. I always want it a day away from a driver now that I sold the 34. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
It's been a great read going through your thread mate! Such a perfect starting point and built into a fantastic rod. As for the thoughts of sell it rather than wreck it are selling the journey short. Yes it looks perfect at this stage, the next stage I'm sure will look just as perfect! Old hot rodders Ive spoken to over the years were always of the opinion they were never after ratty looking rods and flat finishes as is popular as being traditional today, but those cars were simply on that part of their build journey awaiting final finishing. But that cant speak for all, perhaps some guys wanted an unfinished look. We have some cool rods here in Brisbane however we seem quite dominated by glass bodied 32 coupes and roadsters. Its always a pleasure to see something more traditionally styled. Cheers, Josh
Anyone that thinks your ruining this car by doing the best you can on it needs their head examined. This car has a great stance and I look forward to seeing it finished out.
Please don't give up. I think you have a real gem. I can't wait to see where you are going next! Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Heading in this direction now. But making it so I can go back and forth. Think of the old 2n1 models. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Just read the thread start to finish. A true hotrod, homebuilt and built to be driven and enjoyed! Half the fun of having a hobbie car is wrenching on it and improving it so I certainly see why you want to add another step to the journey. Have fun and good luck with the rework!
Finally started on the windshield. What a pain in the ass this project has been. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I guess cuss words have been spoken over the installing of those windshields since the early 40's...Traditionally... and there isn't any new words either......Any plans for a Carson style top once that major hurdle is crossed? Looks very fitting by the way...
