Safari windows would probably be nice for cooling that beast. I kinda wonder about it breathing through those dryer ducts too. Very cool.

I dug this up because it's my Dad's Bus, he's my Hero and quite frankly, his Bus is so Bad Azz that I felt that some noobie Hambers (like me) may have missed it first time around.:)

Yer right, he drove it down from Pennsylvania to Maxton.
Ran a warm up at 130mph and on the second run he opened her up and blew the motor. He was bummed to trailer her home, but, it was just the excuse he needed..... last winter the motor got bigger and meaner.:)
He'll probably be back, I wonder if he'd let me take 'er down the track?
    yyeeeaaahhhh, right!

The 60's were a very unique time. Some hippies chose gasoline and motor oil as their prefered drug!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. This thread is over 3 years old and the mods have yet to shut it down. :D

Uh ohh...looks like you're sensitive soft VW side has been bruised.

I'm sure glad it's not a "traditional VW".

Get a grip. Seriously, use both hands and squeeze your neck really, really hard for as long as you can, that way I don't have to read anything else like this...

Wicked cool dub, by the way, I love that thing! :D

The body style on this particular VW Type II is known as a 'Kombi'.

The blanked out rear side windows tell all as these were marketed as a combination passenger and panel truck. Hence the name Kombi.
