Denise....Don't worry about that "guilt" thing...The great thing about the good old USA is we can tackle any obstacle, climb any hill or respond to any emergency and solve the problem while the rest of the nation can go about it's business being who we are...Americans...all different but all the same...

And besides, you've got a job to do...your job is to represent the HAMB'ers of the world...not just America, but the world...Brits, Aussies, Kiwi's, Finns, Swedes...the works. We are all riding with you. You...you're dad and Phat Rat will do us proud...Show 'em that a diverse bunch of car nuts can get together and compete, have fun and prove that you don't have to have oodles of $$$ to build and drive a hot rod.

So go and have fun...I know you'll enjoy the drive...

  2. Give 'em hell! That includes your Dad! :D

    Update on your head situation...

I couldn't be happier Denise. If anyone around here deserves it it's you. Have fun and take LOTS of pictures :)

  15. Good luck! As a side thought: I'm a roadster guy but you're late enough in the season that anything can happen. I'd take a really good pair of gloves, coveralls with long undies, and get a full face helmet. This will allow you to be tolerable at 40 degrees. The morning temperature where you're going will be chilly. It's always better to take too much than not enough.

Without reading thru all of the posts.......Good Luck and if you guys need a place to crash in the KC area, feel free to call me on my cell phone. I will let you know where the "stash" key is at. You should have a "HAMB" plate painted for the front of your car so that you could sneak it into the magazine.

    Oh yea, Jen say's "Hi!"

Does anyone have a "Cookie Monster" doll that you could carry along as a co-pilot?

  17. You're gonna be gone how long

Could you maybe make me some cookies and leave them for me before you go. :D

Have a safe and fun trip. And report to the HAMB on a daily basis.

    denise,

i can't think of anything to say that someone here hasn't already said. this is just to let you know i'll be watching your updates and hoping you do well.

how can one person/car "win" something like the ego-rama??? you've already won by entering and being chosen to be a finalist. here's hoping that you come out on top anyway.

the only way this event could be better would be if it came close enough to all of us that we could each come watch one of the segments or be there to give you a pat on the back or hug at each stop.

(you've got all of our) best wishes.
