Its a toy!! Don't get too excited...

I had some extra time before an appointment, and saw an Estate Sale down the road. They had some great old stuff, but I was surprised to find this car. Its in this original box in great shape. I paid $2.00.

Those are cool kits. here's one I modified to 1/25th scale. Threw in an Allison engine, and used the canopy from the M/T challenger, plus a bunch of other odd parts. I'd stockpile those kits if I could find them.

There were 4 different kits that all used the same main body, with 4 different center sections. I'm taking one, and adding the bucket from the Ala Kart for my next LSR.

They were reissued a while ago, so they should show up at swap meets.

    Cute, nice score.

But, you see, it's really, really NOT complete until you've built a matching example in full scale, so you can put the model on the fender and take a picture of it there...

    ;)

Is a 'non-electric torque reaction drive' a clockspring or a rubber band?

HAWK was the original model company. They were rubber band powered.

yep... rubber band. My guess is someone had the SPeed Itch. Cause the axle is snapped from too much Torque! Probably only lasted a few runs. But its all there.
