Man great progress I have been a little distracted from working on my Chevy but I am gonna get back on it that darn 32 ford is the culprit but Chevys rule keep it up and take mom for a burn out !!

Well I'm still moving and getting ahead of my self. Josh had me polish the bell housing since it would be visible when in the car so here it is polished and back in the car. I'm slowly learning that what Josh has to say is by making his own mistakes but I'm one that likes to test the water my self so that makes me a hard learner. Bear with me Josh. I will pick it up soon enough but the water is not cold yet. The best lessens learned are the ones from the School of Hard Knox. That I have learned. I do want to say thanks to Josh, you have been more help then you know, but stay on my ass. I need it. Its all good man. (BUMP) Hell ya man. Well I did the sand blasting and I did use sand blasting sand and Debby did the research on the HAMB and a few other sites and there are so many people with there own opinions. Josh came over and warned me also about warping the panels so I got some cold feet and that is probable good so I only did the hard to sand areas and I hit the large areas slightly as shown in the pictures. Thanks Brad for the blaster. I will say that I'm happy with the turn out. The metal is rough but I broke out the sander and did a few areas and it smoothed right out. To morrow I will sand the car down with some 100 grit paper and see where that gets me. By Sunday the car should be sanded out and in primer. Then I will put it back on the frame after some welding is done on the under side and start getting it ready to run again. The windshield will be in Friday so that will go in next week and I will also try to install some of the new floor.
Look at you go man! I feel like a lazy bum watching you get all this stuff done. Looks like you might make the Oct 8th Paradise run ???
That is the plan, Is it an over nighter? Should I bring a cooler? I think I will need an exhaust first.
Don't ya love it when you come home and the wife is sanding the car. Dam man I have it good. Body is sanded and prepped with Prep & Etch. Ready for primer then I can start the body work.
Yes Carl, I've made a lot of mistakes. You don't have to rub it in. Just remember you said you liked the burn outs and it was cool everybody did the burn outs over there AND YOU and DEB ARE KICKIN ASS - Thanks for mentionin my name and glad I could help you avoid some of the shit I f'd up. Yesterday was a day to spend with Debby at the VW car show here in Flowery Branch Ga. It was a great show and Debby loves to show off her 1973 Westy camper bus and the vintage Schwinns that she is collecting. So today we got back on the car and sanded it for about 5 hrs today and its ready for primer now. There was lots of surface rust under the paint so I couldn't get that as clean as I wanted but in all I hope it turns out. I still have a bunch of welding and body work to do but I think this would be the next step since it will take some time to get the steel work done and bondo work that I hate so much completed. By spring all that should be done. Time for a Red Bull and get the primer going.

The primer turned out great. I used a 2 Part High Build Urethane Primer that I had left over from when I painted my bug. This seals it from all the elements and I can just put the Red Oxide Primer as a finish coat when its all finished. Should look cool. I was checking out one on the HAMB last night and I like it much better then black on black. I still have the trunk and dash to do this week. Now its time to get some of the floor in and back on the frame. My wind sheld is also ready to pick up, that will be nice when driving. Safety glasses suck for driving.
Great Progress, On your rear shock setup it appears you used a different lower mount than before or did you modify it? My setup is Mickey Moused by previous owner. Just wondering what you used. Pretty amazing getting all this work done and still find time to post and answer questions.
Onerare29Chevy The 1st mount was a mess. You can see it on like the 1st page. It was what came with the car. I think they torched it off the rear. When I got the 96 rear out of a Blaser I used what came with it and just had to move the saddles. You can see it on like the 1st page of my post. What I have on there now to hold the shocks is the bottom spring plate off an S-10. It worked out great. The top mount is a piece of 3" U channel with a shock mount from speedway. Simple and works.
Still getten it, could use some help if anybody wants to join in. Dad will be here Friday. Go Man Go!! Got the fire wall done and the floor in. I will have to cut an access hole for the master cylinders for the clutch and breaks. I painted the floor and fire wall tonight and we are waiting on some help to put the body on, should be here in about 45 min.
Body's on and ready to be plumbed up. Sweet stuff man. I have the windshield also so that's going to be nice. All the finish touches will come later. dad wants to ride and that is what he will get.
