    Dear HAMBERS friends

It have been a long time since I didn't not post.
    I'm currently working on a 40' traditional 32 roadster.
Original frame, rear axle, front axle, Hydro brakes. flaty and 36 gear box. Firewall is original as well, the only new part is the repro body.

  11. You need to find yourself a good sign writer who can hand letter and who understands the history of lettering. Computer generated fonts, even ones that are supposed to look hand drawn, look way too modern for that car. In your 2 examples above, the bottom one looks closest IMO, but you're still better to let the sign painter do their thing (as long as they understand the era you're going for).

    Great looking car.

When I had an old time pin striper/sign painter paint the logo on my p/u I told him kind of what I had in mind. He made a rough sketch and asked if that was what I had in mind. I agreed and left him to do his thing. It was a $300.00 leap of faith but it turned out exactly how I envisioned it only better. Hopefully you'll find someone who has the same vision as you do and the skills to make it happen. IMG_3010.JPG IMG_3009.JPG

Beautiful work my friend. Why not also put a number on it like a dry lakes speed record attempt?

    Hello,

Here are some different designs. Most people do not put the design over door edging or hinges. So, separating those two designs looks fine on the door and rear quarter panel. Nothing is lost in translation. But, as far as a cool looking hot rod is concerned, those wheels look great, the Pale Yellow paint looks good, but any lettering on the doors or side panel makes the roadster look cheap.

If you want to put the whole design on your roadster, maybe a trunk design is better for you.

Then, as you drive down the street, people will notice the sign on the back and will stay back a bit to identify your car as a cool hot rod. This is just food for thought, as it is your choice. YRMV

Looks real good. Did you start with a new chassis as well? And did the pinstriper talk you out of the engine design. Tim.

Very well done. Did you design the art work or did the guy who painted it or a combination of both?

Well that frame looks nice and straight and clean. Good base to start with, and the end result looks spot on.

I'd say you nailed it. This shows why a lot of rodders think all old hot rods were black but I decided to make it look like an old photo. The car really looks the part of an old land speed racer. Pete' speed (3).jpg
