Finally! After 2 months of agonizing waiting, the truck finally it! It's my first car from the 50's, and it's a Kustom!!! After building Kustom cars for other people, I finally have one to build for myself. It may look familiar, since it came from Califorina by way of Gary Minor, but was previously owned be a couple of other HAMBer's. It's a 1958 Ranchero with an Edsel nose, and Edsel wagon taillights and rear bumper. It's lowered, got Bellflower tips, a louvered hood, aftermarket Lee type taillight lenses, and a cool candy striped interior. Nearest we can figure, the engine is a 352 with a 3 on the tree and Overdrive. Now I'm waiting for NJDMV to send my plates...........
bitchin car. if that first pic was in black and white id swear it was from the 50's, definetly cool. where in jersey is hope? near nyc at all?
Thanks! Hope is Rte 80 West to exit 12, just before the Delaware Water Gap, but the pics were taken a few miles north of there, at the shop I work at in Stillwater. Picture Mayberry circa 1958, and that's Stillwater.......
That's great! I really wanted an early Ranchero for a long time. I've kind of given up on that one. Glad to see you're livin' the dream.
Nice score! That car is tits. I grew up in Lake Hopatcong (the town, not the body of water)... gotta be close to where you are. Beautiful part of the state... and Mayberry indeed. Have fun prowling the streets in the new (old) ride. -murph
