My First Chop, Story and Pics!!!

Great chop for your first time. I would section the trunk a little to keep the flow you have with the roof. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the support, I worked super hard on it, its nice to know people give a F*&$!!!

I probably will gloss the whole car...i just have to finish a few things and decide if I'm going to clip the front end and few other things...I just can't decide because I love all the old crap. Im still running original brakes, suspension (except for blocks in the rear and d-arched springs, and lowered coils in front) with the 3 on the tree and the a built 235..It runs so good. Any ways, heres some pics of the motor and hood, one of you guys asked how i peaked it.

I first (very slowly and carefully) welded the two pieces completely together and smoothed it out, then took a piece of 3/8" round stock from DeNaults (its super soft and welds real easy to the hood with minimal heat). It took two pieces, one of which i shaped on my knee for the front of the hood...then a little marglass and bondo....walla. Thanks again for all the kind words guys.
