Customs My First Custom? Need Shoebox Opinions

Can you do your own bodywork? The tin doesn't cost that much it's the LABOR that will reallly cost you. What you DO get with that car is a two door tite and a running flattie along with whatever value you find elsewhere in that car.When you say the flathead runs does that mean you could drive it,as is without a smoke screen in the mirror? How big a hurry are you in to buy? If you wait you CAN do better. It might be tomorrow it may be in a year or two. Ford made a lot of cars that year, there a plenty of others out there.

I think our leg has been pulled.

 

I wouldnt pay over 1500. Actually id move on for another better project that needs less work.

Why would anyone spend time and money building something as stupid as that?

Buddy I went thru this same %^*# last year. Tried to buy a $ 9000 car for $5000 -in other words to stay within my mechanical abilities and future expenses it would be much cheaper to spend more now to keep from spending a whole lot more from surprises. I don't know anything about you, but what I've seen in the pictures you would either need to spend a bunch of cash, or you've got to have a full scale body shop for a garage.
