    Yep, I agree, they're sweet. Aren't they off a 49-51 Merc?

Back in the day that style skirt was a Merc skirt , that guys had to cut down to fit a Shoebox . Later on a company named Foxcraft made them out of steel that bolted right on , with the correct height to fit below a Shoebox's sidetrim . I owned a few in the past year (kept one pair for my car) .

The car is looking great, just a question, what are your plans with exhaust on the drivers side, looks like its going to be tight. I know with mine w/o the p/s and a sbc cuts it real close with the block huggers.

I'm dressing the engine up like a stock 56 chevy, so I wanted to run some type of OEM cast manifold.

Rams horn center dump won't work, rams horn angled dump (truck) didn't work either.

    I went with this...

    82 - 92 Camaro ??

I think they look the part, and clear everything (very close to the upper A arm)

    I'll post new pics soon.

Shit! The ram horns dont clear the double d shaft or the A arms?? I was hoping to do the s10 clip with my sbc that already has the Speedway style ram horns on it.

If I recall correctly, they cleared, but pointed straight down at the crossmember.

    Harbor Freight has them cheap.

Eastwood has them, not so cheap.

    They're called panel clamps.

  15. A guy on a homemade tools thread posted how he made a set, but Harbor Freight is probably faster and cheaper.

    Just for you, Jim.

I've been trying to tell myself that I wont' have to raise the driveshaft tunnel.

But, after installing the driveshaft, and doing some measuring, I came to realize that half an inch of clearance, was just not enough.

I started at the back, and started fabbing a new tunnel, and bump over the rear.

The crossmember under the seat also needed to be thinned out.

The bottom of the rear seat needed some modifications to clear the new tunnel.
