I rolled it outside, been a long time.

 

I had already painted these inner fender panels.

But, It looks like they need altering for clearance.

Looking great...I notched my inner fender panel also...little more because of running 16" tires.

Did you use the stock length shackles with the dearched springs and are these pics of the car still with 2 inch blocks?

Just read this thread tonight. Love it great work . So the big question is have you managed to stay on your budget? That seam's to be the hardest part of these project's .

The wiring is done.

 

There's alot going on in that last shot.

Upper left, wireless remote and relays for starter, etc

Upper right, toggle switch for turn signal, american autowire makes this little rascal and I really like it.

Bottom, wires to the dimmer

Middle left, push button emergency switch for the driver's door.

 

Doesn't everyone rewire their gauges on the kitchen table?

 

When I got my guages back together and wired up with new 12 volt lights, they were dim as hell. I did some searching on shoeboxford.com and this seemed to be a common problem.

The stock light have these purple "blacklight" lenses over them that are supposed to illuminate the glow in the dark paint on the gauges.

Well, that paint is shot, so the answer is to just remove those lenses, and paint the bulbs green.

You can actually see the guages in the dark when you do this.

 

Needles painted, odometer reset, everything cleaned, nice.....

The grill cleaned up pretty nice for 65 year old chrome.

Again, on the kitchen table, it's getting cold here.
